Here at Ace Autos, we are delighted to launch our new website. To mark this occasion, we thought we’d introduce ourselves and tell you a little bit more about our family-run business!
David Ferguson, born and bred in Clackmannanshire, founded Ace Autos in 2006. He is a time served Mechanic who trained under his mentor the late Mr Fred Law in Alva for 10 years, after Fred’s sad and sudden passing, David worked in Stirling alongside an electrical engineer for another decade before deciding to establish himself in the field he had loved since early childhood.
As a father to 5 daughters and one son, David knows how important family is to everyone and has made it his priority to ensure that you and all your family’s safety is paramount.
We run the business as a family with me, Abbé his wife, in the office, Max our son taking on his Dad’s mantle while following his own dreams of becoming a Mechanical Engineer backed by David’s impressive wealth of knowledge and training to help him. Our daughters, although employed in other jobs and one a busy Mum herself have an active role in helping us with the running of the business and making sure we keep up with the 21st Century.
During Covid-19, we know that the majority of people can become overwhelmed and stress becomes a big part of everyday life, David’s aim is to look after your car and to hopefully take some of the worry away.
We realise that there has become a need for our customers, who are working through these difficult times, to be able to book repairs online without having to interrupt their daily schedules and decided to introduce an online booking system for these customers.
David offers a vast range of services to include: Mot repairs; services; brakes; tyres; batteries; exhaust systems; steering faults; engine replacement and diagnostic (to tell you why that annoying light keeps popping up on your dash).
Unlike many garages, David understands the need to speak to a mechanic does not always fall between the hours of 8am-5pm Monday to Friday and for that reason, whenever possible, will answer his phone or your email to him out of hours.
Trying to keep everyone safe and following Government Guidelines we use PPE to keep you all, and us safe and will sanitize your steering wheel; door handles and keys, before we hand your car back to you.
